Waterfest July 19: splendid night of original rock ‘n’ roll

July 19: Manchester Orchestra, Remo Drive, Brett Newski & the No Tomorrow

Manchester Orchestra is a rare indie rock headliner at Waterfest, venturing to Oshkosh from Atlanta playing sounds from their latest album ”A Black Mile To The Surface,” which debuted at no. 2 on the Billboard Vinyl Albums chart in 2017. The band has been featured in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and the AV Club, with NPR calling their latest album “precocious, theatrical and piercingly lovely.”

This is the show the OI team is most looking forward to this year.

Other:  MN band Remo Drive is a Vampire Weekend-spirited pop punk band that is also a unique addition to the Waterfest lineup, and certainly a welcomed sound to this intriguing evening.  Showman Brett Newski brings a band to Oshkosh following his solo set opening for the Violent Femmes at the Grand. If we have time, we’ll take him down in a game of 1 on 1 at the Arena!

Tix: $15 before 7pm; $20 after. $45 VIP.
