Redshift Headlights to rock Rock Garden Studio

0

Tonight (Saturday, June 4, 2016), Redshift Headlights will be rocking a full premiere of Inside Voices at Rock Garden Studio in Appleton. Inside Voices is the debut album of Redshift Headlights, and is set to be released late summer 2016.  The show is featuring a 20-member ensemble of local musicians, many of who contributed to the album.

Redshift Headlights is the latest solo musical incarnation of Stephen McCabe, formerly of The Willis (Doubleplusgood Records), Congratulations on your Decision to Become a Pilot (Aisle2Records), and Cookie Bug.

Inside Voices, which was recorded and mixed at Rock Garden and engineered by Marc Golde, is a sprawling concept record, with each song telling of a new character, starting with a lost 18-month-old toddler and ending with a grandmother speaking her last words. The album explores ten identities, genders, cultures, sexualities, each character telling a different “American” story that all merge into one. The songs began as flash fiction pieces written by McCabe, who is also a professor of literature and writing.

On the Album:

Stephen McCabe: Rhodes piano, guitars, drums and percussion, vocals.
