BARLEY & HOPS ROUND 2 RESULTS

Barley & Hops had a strong showing for the weekend, having hosted two battles of some of Northeast Wisconsin’s bests in Fox River Brewing’s Vader’s Imperial Stout, Ahnapee Brewing’s Two Stall Chocolate Milk Stout, Knuth Brewing’s Redhouse Amber, and Bare Bone’s Amber Ale.

Bare Bone’s Amber Ale fans showed up, with the beer grabbing a bracket leading 32 votes. The amber moves on to face Vater’s Dedächtnis from Fifth Ward this weekend at the Granary.

The Bare Bones vs Fifth Ward matchup is expected to be high scoring and close. A different Fifth Ward brew sold out at the Granary during round 2 matchups.

In the other matchup at Barley & Hops, Two Stall Chocolate Milk Stout from Ahnapee Brewing edged out Vader’s Imperial Stout from Fox River by just 4 votes, sending Ahnapee’s sole representative into the quarterfinals, where it will face off against Knuth’s Coffee Stout.

The Knuth / Ahnapee quarterfinal matchup will also take place at the Granary March 22 and 23.

O’MARRO’S ROUND 2 RESULTS

Badger State Brewing in Green Bay had two IPAs in play over the weekend at O’Marro’s, joining Ahnapee and Bare Bones on tap. The brewery was successful in one of their matchups, sending Grassy Place Hazy IPA on to the quarterfinals.

Grassy Place defeated Ahnapee’s Mozaic Craze, with their next matchup at Dublins this upcoming weekend against Fifth Ward’s Haze It or Love It IPA.

Badger State’s Green Chop was defeated by Bare Bone’s Pawsome Pilsner. Pawsome now heads to the quarterfinals where it faces Knuth Brewing’s Blue Eyed Blonde Farmhouse Ale at Dublins.
