April Beach Picnic
Pre-Cana feast
of deep desire,
guests paled by
coats of winter white
bake their flesh
in the unseasonal heat,
feeling not
the peeling burns of
over-indulgence
but only the
anticipation of a
golden-brown orgy.

Cotton Candy
Sugar spun into
twisted threads of
pink air, light, dreams,
fleeting fantasies
melting on my tongue
