Peabody’s to host 2019 kickoff of Independent Racket Nights March 7


Oshkosh’s Horace Greene will be joined by Cullah (Milwaukee) and Christopher Gold (Appleton) for an evening of original music

Year two of the Independent Racket Nights series kicks off this Thursday, March 7 at Peabody’s with a strong lineup featuring Horace Greene, Cullah (Mke) and Christopher Gold (Appleton).

Bare Bones Brewery will have their craft beers on tap at Peabody’s and at host sites throughout the IRN season. The local brewery returns as the presenting sponsor of the original music series.

The show starts early at 7:30pm with no cover.

The March 7 show is the first Independent Racket Nights of the year. The 2019 series will host eight concerts at six rotating venues, with each concert featuring original music and at least one visiting/touring band.

All shows are 21+ and have no cover. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Additional sponsors include Offbeat Press, The Exclusive Company, Visit Oshkosh, and the Oshkosh Independent. Each of these sponsors returns as local supporters of the inaugural year of the series in 2018.

April 4 @ the Reptile Palace with Solar Max, Leading the Blind (Appleon, CD RELEASE SHOW!!!), and Cody James solo (of Attalla)

May 9 @ Barley & Hops with Copper Box, The Royal Blue (Appleton) and Tyler Streeter (Appleton).

June 6 @ O’Marro’s with Bottom of the Lake, North by North (Chicago) and Kaidyn Wild of Fools & Lovers.

The series skips the months of July and August when Waterfest shows are taking place, as well as January and February.  February 27-29 (2020) is the weekend of the annual Water City Racket Festival, which includes many of the bands performing in the series.
