Oshkosh Youth Symphony presents East Meets West: The Spirit of Community

OYS will perform their Spring Concert: East Meets West: The Spirit of Community at the Alberta Kimball Auditorium

On Sunday, March 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Alberta Kimball Auditorium, the Oshkosh Youth Symphony Inc. (OYS) Philharmonia, Symphony Orchestra and Woodwind Quintet will present their spring concert in collaboration with the Youth for Asian American Culture (YAAC) Dancers from Oshkosh North and West High Schools and Merrill Middle School.

Sponsored by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, this concert is a unique cultural exchange between modern Hmong dancers and orchestral musicians to celebrate and share Hmong culture and music with the greater community.

The concert will feature two dance performances by the YAAC students with the OYS Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia.

In addition, the rest of the concert will present dance music from around the world, as well as performances by the OYS Woodwind Quintet and Percussion Ensemble.

Come see some of Oshkosh’s brightest young musicians and dancers on March 10th as they showcase the spirit of community and the arts.

Doors open to the public at 1:30 p.m. and tickets are $5 each.
