Oshkosh teen reaches $75,000 goal for ballpark renovations

What started out as a $1000 grant award has now become a successful $75,000 fundraiser to renovate Rainbow Park Ballfield thanks to the ambitious work of Oshkosh North High School senior Sydney Supple.  “Syd” plays softball, and by play, we mean she has received first team all state honors, was honored as the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state, and accepted a scholarship to Division 1 Northwestern University at age 13.

Syd’s goal: to renovate the Rainbow Park Ballfield into a first class softball diamond that can be used to unite all of the high schools, youth clubs for both softball and baseball, and neighborhood children to freely play on.

Additional funds raised will help to fund additional improvements such as a scoreboard.

Donations can be made through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation here.
