Oshkosh Plein Air Festival August 16 – 19


Outdoor art festival to take place throughout Oshkosh’s northeast side

The Oshkosh Fine Arts Association presents their first Oshkosh Fine Arts Association Plein Air Fest. En Plein Air is French for painting outdoors. Artists will be leaving their studios behind as they set up their easels to paint throughout the city of Oshkosh.

Day 1, Thursday, August 16: Sunrise Paint at Menominee Park on stunning Lake Winnebago.

Day 2, Friday, August 17: Artist will be painting on the beautiful grounds of the Paine Art Center and Gardens in the morning. Later that day some will gather at the Fox River Brewing Co. for a sunset painting opportunity.

Day 3, Saturday, August 18: Morning (8am-12:30) painting downtown at the Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market. Afternoon (3-8pm) painting along the Riverwalk at 362 Michigan St., east of William Steiger Park, near the Michigan Street fishing dock.

Day 4, Sunday, August 19: Artist reception and painting sale will be at UW-Oshkosh Alumni Welcome and Conference Center from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
