Oshkosh Main Street Music Fest 2018


Oshkosh Main Street Music Fest 2018 is less than 10 days away.  Downtown Oshkosh will soon host more than 60 sets from bands ranging from gold old rock ‘n’ roll to jam, jazz, folk and more.

The event, slated for Wednesday, July 25 through Saturday, July 28, is one of the finer assemblages of live music in our community, and heading down to the excitement is a win win win:  you reward yourself with an excellent time; you support local businesses who are swell for hosting live music; and you are supporting the local creative community helping make Oshkosh interesting.

The Fifth Ward Brewing Co is also crafting a special beer just for the fest.

The Oshkosh Independent Magazine officially announced the full line-up to this year’s festival in our music-themed July/August edition related late June 2018.  The schedule includes a short write up with commentary from the lead organizer of the event, Benjamin Vosters.

About the July / August 2018 OI Magazine:  The 4th installment of the Oshkosh Independent Magazine was released at the end of June covering the July and August months.  The issue features a cover story on the musical family of the Grines, who have had tremendous impact on the world of music in the Oshkosh community.

In addition, you can visit any of the advertisers in the current edition as each site receives a bulk distribution of magazines.  You you might have success finding the publication at one of the spaces featured in the publication. These sites receive the option to purchase a stack of magazines at near cost to hand out.  See the list of advertisers here (this is a google drive document).

Other sites that you can scan the magazine while visiting include most medical / dental offices and many business / service lobbies.  The Oshkosh Public Library, UW Oshkosh Polk Library, all four Oshkosh High School Libraries, all public middle school libraries, and the Menasha Public Library all also have the edition available for viewing.
