Oshkosh Corp. announced this week that it has been recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the most admired companies in the world.

This is the first time the company has made it on to the list, which has only four other Wisconsin companies on it. Oshkosh ranked fourth in the “construction and farm machinery” category.

“We’re honored to be part of this distinguished ranking,” said Wilson R. Jones, president and CEO. “Not only does Oshkosh Corp. have a strong positive long-term outlook, we also have a thriving People First Culture and a mission to make a difference in people’s lives, which positions us well as we embark on our second century of business.”

The other Wisconsin companies on the list are Fiserv, Kohl’s, Northwestern Mutual and Manpower.

Oshkosh, which unveiled the design for its new headquarters building earlier this week, has been recognized as an outstanding company in other venues. “Oshkosh Corp. has earned the titles of one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute in 2016 and 2017, one of America’s Best Large Companies by Forbes in 2016 and 2017 and a Military Friendly Employer by Victory Media,” the company stated. “Thanks to feedback from team members, Oshkosh Corp. was also named one of the 2018 Best Places to Work by Glassdoor.”
