Oshkosh Community Players to present world premiere of “One Strange Night”

The Oshkosh Community Players will present the world premiere of “One Strange Night,” an original comedy by Oshkosh resident Bradley Dokken.

James Nelling is a typical man who loves his wife, tolerates his mother in law and isn’t opposed to a little excitement in his life. “One Strange Night” is a fast-paced farce in two acts that shows us what happens when James gets more excitement than he bargained for.

Add in a bumbling next door neighbor who is always in the wrong place at the wrong time, a beautiful woman who tries to catch James eye, mistaken identity, a feisty mother-in-law and a visit or two from the police and you’ve got all the makings of One Strange Night.

If slamming doors, miscommunication and mistaken identity sound like a perfect storm of hilarity than this show is for you!

The world premiere event will be held April 5-7 at The Grand Opera House, 100 High Ave. Oshkosh. Tickets range from $15-$18.

The show is written and directed by Dokken, with Kylie Montee serving as assistant director. Actors from around the Fox Valley will originate the show’s characters, including: Timothy James Young (James), Danielle Brynteson (Laurie), Katie Castel (Ashley), Nate Scheuers (Henry), Debbie Ransbottom (Agnes), Doug Bord-Pire (Frank), Jessica DelCamp (Officer #1), and Paul Vanden Boogard (Officer #2).

Tickets are on sale now at TheGrandOshkosh.org.
