Norman, Is That You?, directed by Kylie Montee, is considered to be the very first play to have dealt openly and comically with homosexuality. OCP is excited to bring this heartfelt show to the Grand Opera House in June to coincide with Pride Month.
A mix of humor, humility, and heart, it holds as much meaning today as it did when it first premiered in 1970. The show, written by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick, follows Ben Chambers, who goes to visit his son in New York after separating from his wife. When Ben shows up on his son Norman’s doorstep, he finds Norman in a relationship with another man. Before the reality and acceptance set in, Ben tries everything to redirect his son’s energies.
The show will be held June 1-3, 2018 at the Grand Opera House, 100 High Ave. Tickets range from $15-$18.
Tickets for this must-see show are on sale at TheGrandOshkosh.org.
