No primary needed for Common Council

With three incumbents and just one challenger filing nomination papers, the city will not need to hold a primary election for Common Council this year.

As of Tuesday’s 5 p.m. deadline, incumbents Steve Herman, Caroline Panske and Lori Palmeri as well as challenger Matt Mugeraurer had submitted signatures to be on the spring ballot.

Four other citizens had taken out nomination papers but either withdrew or did not submit signatures.
