Nashville bluegrass band The Barefoot Movement at Thrasher

Heralded bluegrass band returns to historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake Thursday, January 10, 2019

It’s been ten years since the bluegrass band The Barefoot Movement took off their shoes and took to the stage. Heralded as one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene, they have appeared in Country Weekly Magazine,, CMT Edge, Music City Roots, Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour, countless venues and festivals across the country.

Their original music was featured on the Outdoor Channel’s program “Huntin’ the World: Southern Style” and their music video for their popular song “Second Time Around” has been seen nationally on the Zuus Country Network. This Nashville-based group, who will perform a mix of emotional ballads and rip-roaring barn burners, received a Momentum Award as Band of the Year in 2014 from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

All of this from the Nashville based group who is as down-to-earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while. Please join us!

This performance is supported by grants from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.  Accommodations provided by The Heidel House.

Tickets are available for $20 and available at the Thrasher office, Horicon Bank (Green Lake), Webster’s Marketplace, Ripon Drug (Ripon), Twister (Princeton), or by calling (920)-294-4279. Tickets are also available online at
