“X” moves up to third in NBA G League scoring average
The Wisconsin Herd (21-25) completed a series sweep (3-0) over the Maine Red Claws (17-30) with a 118-111 victory yesterday.
The Herd posted a season-high 41 points in the first quarter, outscoring the Red Claws by 13 (41-28). However, Maine bounced back in the second quarter, taking a 67-65 lead into the break. The Herd reclaimed the advantaged with 1:30 remaining in the third quarter and maintained the lead throughout the final frame.
Bucks Two-Way player Xavier Munford led all scorers, posting a career-best 41 points. Joel Bolomboy secured his twelfth double-double with the Herd, notching 18 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. Ricky Ledo added 17 points and six assists in 24 minutes. JeQuan Lewis (12 points), Marshall Plumlee (10 points) and James Blackmon Jr. (11 points) all scored in double-digits from the bench for Wisconsin.
All five of Maine’s starters scored in double digits. Anthony Bennett posted 26 points in 39 minutes for the Red Claws. Boston Celtics Two-Way player Devin Williams (13 points, 16 rebounds) and Trey Davis (12 points, 12 assists) both recorded double-doubles for Maine.
