Here is what you need to know about the area’s live music scene this next week:

May 9: IRN presents Copper Box, The Royal Blue, & Tyler Streeter @ Barley & Hops. 7:30pm. No Cover. 21+
Show #3 of the 2019 Independent Racket Nights series, which returns for year 2 with an expanded lineup and new venues. The May 9 show is hosted by Barley & Hops Pub and Beer Garden. Playing as the full band, Copper Box is joined by Appleton’s The Royal Blue and Tyler Streeter (of Tyler & the Streeters) for an fine Thursday evening of music.

IRN 2019 is presented by Bare Bones Brewery, with their craft beers on tap at each show. Sponsored by Offbeat PressThe Exclusive CompanyVisit Oshkosh, and Northern Mantle, with additional sponsors being confirmed.

May 9: UWO Orchestra Concert feat. Concerto Winners & Camerata @ UW Oshkosh Music Hall, 7:30pm. All ages. (tix usually required for UWO music events)

May 9: Carnage The Executioner Live To Eat Tour @ The Reptile. 9:30pm. No Cover. 21+
Minneapolis Hip-Hop Artist Carnage is joined by Taiyamo Denku, Saurus K & Chryptik, and Cujo & Andrew Linskens

May 11: Sly Joe Sly Joe & the Smooth Ops w/ Caley Conway & Pat Keen @ Gibson Music Hall in Appleton. No Cover. 6pm – 11pm.
For a quite evening of music in Oshkosh, you might consider consider venturing up to Appleton for this splendid lineup. Sly Joe has returned from his tenure in Nashville and has resumed his place as one of the Valley’s most enigmatic performers. Joining the Ops is a solo set by Milwaukee’s Caley Conway and Pat Keen from MPLS.

May 12: Sunday Night Jazz @ Fletch’s Tap House with the Jazz Orgy. 9pm. No Cover. 21+

May 15: Wednesday Jazz Orgy @ Becket’s. No Cover.

Solar Max

May 16: Solar Max @ Fox River Brewing for Craft Beer Week. 7-9pm. No Cover.
Join Solar Max @ Fox River Brewing for a night of live music, featuring Fox River’s very own brewmaster on drums.


  • Foods & Lovers unveiled a new website this past week:
  • Solar Max will make their Mile of Music debut in 2019, having been announced as one of the first 100 acts.
  • IRN has announced the June 2019 show lineup for June 6 @ O’Marro’s, with Bottom of the Lake, North by North out of Chicago, and Kaidyn Wild.
