July 2015 Climate Summary for Oshkosh, Wisconsin


If you thought that it didn’t rain that often in July, you were correct.

I recorded five days with measurable precipitation in my backyard. The lowest total since I began observing precipitation. My backyard has endured two abnormally long streaks without measurable precipitation since June 24. The monthly temperature ended 1.2 degrees below average, at 70.8 degrees. The warmest temperature recorded was 89.4 degrees on July 29th and the coldest temperature recorded was 49.2 degrees on July 1st. The monthly precipitation ended 1.67 inches below average. Winnebago county is in an “Abnormally Dry” drought condition per the state drought monitor. More drought information can be found here.
