Incredible Insects!

Let’s explore the diversity of aquatic and terrestrial insects! Winnebago Audubon invites you to Sheldon Nature Area on Saturday, July 13, from 9:30 am- 11:00 am for a family activity searching for insects in the prairie and the pond. We will be collecting insects and other “creepy crawlies” with sweep and pond nets. Afterwards they can be examined with bug viewers and magnifying lenses. This is a great opportunity to learn about the insect life that inhabits our water and natural areas. Park in the lot on the west side of Oakwood School off of Old Omro Road. (School address is 1225 N. Oakwood Rd., Oshkosh.) Follow the trail to the picnic shelter near the pond. Equipment will be provided.  Wading boots or old shoes are recommended.
