Two clutch steals by Brandon Jennings secured a 127-123 victory for the Wisconsin Herd (20-23) over the Delaware 87ers (13-30).
The score was knotted at 123 with 24.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Jennings stole the ball from Stefhon Hannah and executed a driving layup to put the Herd up by two. Jennings notched his second steal of the game off a Christian Wood lost ball with 14.9 second left on the clock. Kyle Casey converted off a driving dunk for Wisconsin. The back-and-forth match featured 25 lead changes and 21 ties.
Jennings finished the night with a double-double, posting 25 points and dishing out 10 assists in 36 minutes. Ricky Ledo led all scorers with 28 points and four steals in 34 minutes. In his first game against his former team, James Blackmon Jr. tallied 26 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the field. Joel Bolomboy narrowly missed a double-double (22 points, nine rebounds) for Wisconsin.
Led by Wood (21 points, 10 rebounds), six players scored in double digits for the 87ers. Philadelphia 76ers Two-Way player and former Herd forward James Young notched 19 points and tallied three steals for Delaware in 34 minutes. Cameron Oliver, who appeared in 21 games with Wisconsin, registered a double-double (19 points and 13 rebounds) from the bench.
