Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative hires new director

The Greater Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc. (GO-HNI) has announced the hiring of Pam Ruder as the new director of GO-HNI

Ruder is a long-time resident of Oshkosh and former nonprofit executive within the community. She recently served as the Resource Development Director at the Oshkosh Area United Way from 2012 to 2017, and holds an MBA from UWO Oshkosh.

“I look forward to working with fellow board members, volunteers and residents of our community to advance the
goals and program initiatives of GO-HNI,” said Ruder. “There are numerous opportunities for us to make a positive, long- lasting impact within our neighborhoods and throughout the community. I hope others in Oshkosh will join us
and embrace our mission to meet the various challenges to enhance our community.”

According to the GO-HNI board, the change in leadership comes in wake of their desire to grow and expand operations within the Oshkosh community and different neighborhoods. “We have great confidence that
Pam will advance our organization and expand the positive impact GO-HNI can have within our City, our
volunteer network, and neighborhood associations”, stated board chair David Rucker. “The organization is looking forward to greater collaboration with the City of Oshkosh to strengthen and enhance our neighborhoods thereby,
making Oshkosh a better place to call home.”

GO-HNI is a 501c3 non-profit community development corporation dedicated to strengthening Oshkosh neighborhoods.  More information can be found at
