Growing Oshkosh to host plant sale and Mother’s Day Flower Pots event

On Friday, May 12 from 5:30pm – 7pm, Growing Oshkosh will host a Mother’s Day Flower Pot event.  Stop by the Children’s Learning Garden and make a gift for Mom. Decorate a pot, fill it with a flower, and take it home the same night! This is a free-flowing event, so come when you can, and stay as long as you wish. Suggested Donation: $5/pot. No registration is necessary for this event. The event will run as long as supplies last. In the event of poor weather, the program will move indoors.
On Saturday, May 13 from 9:00am to 1:00pm,  Growing Oshkosh will again partner with the Friends of Menominee Park Shoreland for a plant sale featuring native plants, garden vegetable plants, and herbs.
Growing Oshkosh is located at 530 Bay Shore Drive just behind the Oshkosh Area United Way.
The sale of natives will help support the improvement and expansion of native plantings in Oshkosh, while the vegetable/herb plant sales will support the continued educational and environmental programming of Growing Oshkosh.  Most will be $4/pot. With every $10 purchase/donation, receive a free packet of flower seeds collected last fall right from our Miller’s Bay site.
