Day by Day Warming Shelter hosts Mile of Style fashion show, key fundraising event


A one-of-a-kind experience and the opportunity to make a significant difference is what guests will achieve at this year’s  Day by Day Warming Shelter Mile of Style, set for Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 at the Oshkosh Convention Center.

The region’s premier fashion and style show features the creative fashion expressions of the area’s leading clothing designer and retail outlets paired with an elegant dining experience serving root beer marinated pork tenderloin or fresh-roasted vegetable lasagna, together in the celebratory river-front setting of the Convention Center at 2 North Main Street in the heart of Oshkosh’s downtown.

The event serves as a key fundraiser for the Day By Day Warming Shelter, an important community service provider who offers safe, temporary shelter, food, and supportive services for adults in our community experiencing homelessness.

The Day By Day Warming Shelter relies on financial support from the community to serve those most in need. Did you know that…We raise 95% of our annual operating budget right here in Winnebago County. We rely on the generosity of local businesses & foundations, faith communities and individuals to help ensure our mission. Your support provides a warm bed, nutritious food and supportive services to help local homeless on the path to self-sufficiency.

  • $100 provides safe shelter for one guest for one night
  • $250 covers the cost of shelter basic operation supplies for one week
  • $1000 covers shelter utilities (water, gas, electric) for one month

Day By Day Warming Shelter, Inc. was founded in by a coalition of community members concerned about the lack of safe, temporary shelter for people experiencing homelessness in the Oshkosh area. With broad community support from local government, police, fire, faith communities and foundations, Day By Day Warming Shelter, Inc. first opened its doors on October 15, 2010 and has grown to become a key community provider of homeless and self-sufficiency services.
