Frigid temps highlight significant importance of shelter’s work in Oshkosh

Day by Day has been temporarily allowed to expand services beyond the 25-bed limit

Day by Day Warming Shelter Executive Director Matt Johnson was interviewed on January 29, 2019 by Here & Now‘s Robin Young on National Public Radio.

The shelter has remained open during the full day to ensure the safety of everyone in the community during this cold stretch. In addition, the city has been permitted to increase number of beds offered to eliminate the common challenge of turning guests away when at capacity.

Day by Day provides safe, temporary shelter, food, and supportive services for adults. They advocate for collaborative, locally driven solutions for those experiencing homelessness in the community.
