ONE. Enjoy a children’s play by children and for children with the Grand Opera House’s performance of Treasure Island. Come down and see the adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel about a young boy with a wild passion for adventure with a legendary pirate, Long John Silver. Ticket prices vary. TWO. Come get your weekly fix of fresh produce and live music at the Oshkosh Farmer’s Market. Pick up your cheeses, pasture-raised meats, veggies, and other goods to enhance your health and for a fresher take on your meals. On April 22, see Will Wegner perform live from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Event takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free admission. THREE. The Backlot Comedy House hosts its weekly improv comedy night on Friday and Saturday! They know the improv game, but they don’t know the content. In this interactive improv night, the audience controls the comedy. You’ll only hear these jokes once so head on over for a night full of laughs! FOUR. Celebrate Record Store Day on Saturday, April 22 at the Reptile Palace! Come on down and see performances from Baba Yaga, Beetlegork, Population Control, and Staves. Event starts at 10 p.m. 141 High Ave.
FIVE. Enjoy a weekend at Becket’s with some soulful tunes. Sit down for a nice dinner with live performances from Lawrence Faculty Jazz Combo and returning performer, Rob Anthony. Rob Anthony performs on Friday, April 21 and Lawrence Faculty Jazz Combo performs Saturday, April 22. Both events start at 8 p.m. 2 Jackson St.
