Council delays action on farmers market waiver

The Oshkosh Common Council voted Tuesday to delay taking any action on waiving special event fees for the Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market.

While several members indicated they would support a waiver, the majority decided it would be better to work on a compromise that might involve private sponsorships as well as financial support from the city to cover the extra costs.

The fees are estimated to be $9,000 a year.
