The public is invited to meet the two Winnebago County Clerk of Courts Republican candidates at a Candidates Forum on Monday, July 30, 6:30-7:00 pm, at Oshkosh City Hall, 215 Church Ave., 4th floor. The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Winnebago County.
Winnebago County Clerk of Courts incumbent Melissa Pingel and challenger Theresa Griese will answer questions. The August 14 primary election winner will become the next Winnebago County Clerk of Courts because there is no opposition on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. Voters must choose the Republican Party ballot in this partisan primary in order to vote for one of these candidates.
Audience questions are encouraged. County-related policy questions may also be submitted in advance to forum moderator Margy Davey at lwvWCinfo@gmail.com or 920-233-5055.
The forum is co-sponsored by Oshkosh Media. The forum will be broadcast live on Oshkosh Media Gov TV and on radio WOCT 101.9 FM, and rebroadcast several times prior to the election on August 14. It will also be available after the forum via video streaming for those without cable television access at www.oshkoshmedia.org and on the Oshkosh Media YouTube channel.
