Candidate Workshops

Have you ever watched your town board or school board discuss a pertinent topic and wished to join in?  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to serve on a city council or the county board? If so, you should plan to attend the “How to Run for Office” Candidate Workshops happening around Winnebago County in the next few weeks.

Sue Ertmer, Winnebago County Clerk, will explain the steps candidates need to take to get their names on the ballot, how to fill out the necessary forms required by the Wisconsin Elections Commission and how to handle campaign financial matters. After the presentation there will be a Q&A panel with representatives of each community that have held an elected position.
