Burton Cummings, former lead singer/songwriter of super group the Guess Who, has enjoyed an equally successful career as a solo artist. He has written or co-written classics such as “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “No Time,” “Stand Tall,” “Break It to them Gently,” and many others. His first solo album in over 20 years, Above The Ground (2008), has received critical acclaim.

Cummings has won a number of awards in his native Canada and in the music world. He is also a prolific writer of poetry. His well-received first book of poetry “The Writings of B.L. Cummings” sold out after its release in 2017 and Cummings has stated that a second volume will soon go to press.

Burton Cummings will headline at Waterfest on the evening of Thursday, August 1, 2019.
