O’Marro’s and Barley & Hops set to host the Round 2 March 14-16 weekend
Bad weather wasn’t enough to stop a breakthrough weekend for Brew Battles, which saw its first sold out craft beer and the total votes topping 75 at a venue for the first time.
The Granary and the Ground Round @ River’s Edge were the hosts to the first weekend of Round 2, with craft beers facing off from Knuth Brewing (Ripon), Ahnapee Brewing (Algoma), Fifth Ward Brewing (Oshkosh), Fox River Brewing (Oshkosh) and Badger State Brewing (Green Bay).
The Ground Round was host to two closely contested matchups, together tallying 76 total votes – the first venue to top 75 votes in the contest. Both battles were decided by three or fewer votes, with Vater’s Dedächtnis and Knuth’s Coffee Stout pulling out the wins.
The Granary saw two strong showings, including a sell out of Fifth Ward’s Haze It or Love It. The IPA joined Knuth’s Farmhouse Ale as the two craft brews to advance.
