Brew Battles Championship set

Final two Northeast Wisconsin craft beers will face off April 5 & 6 at Beckets

The field of 24 craft beers has been narrowed down to just two following this weekend’s Brew Battles Final 4 matchup at Fletch’s Tap House.

With just over 150 votes cast, Bare Bones Brewery and Knuth Brewing both advanced beers into the finals, which will kick off Friday at lunchtime at the championship central Becket’s.

Bare Bones Brewery (Oshkosh) – Pawsome Pilsner: Defeated Oshkosh’s Fifth Ward Brewing, who placed their Haze It or Love It IPA into the Final Four. The battle was intense, with 81 votes tallied. Bare Bones pulled out to an early Saturday lead, and held on to a 9 vote victory.

Knuth Brewing (Ripon) – Coffee Stout: Came back to defeat Bare Bone’s classic Amber Ale by 6, with Knuth receiving 38 votes to Bare Bone’s 32. The Coffee Stout was down by 2 at the 8pm update, but added enough late quarter votes to pull out the win.

About the finals: Hosted at Beckets, with voting kicking off at lunchtime on Friday, April 5, 2019 and concluding at 11pm sharp on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Live Music by The Reverend Raven Saturday evening. Each purchase of either craft beer gives you a voting ticket. You pick the winner.

About the Craft Beer Contenders:

Coffee Stout by Knuth Brewing (Ripon): Made using four different kinds of malt, two varieties of hops, and finished by adding their own blend of coffee which they roast in small batches by hand in their own coffee roaster. Expect this beer to be rich and smooth with hints of coffee and chocolate at the end.

Pawsome Pilsner by Bare Bones (Oshkosh): Classic American Pilsner – crisp, clean and refreshing.
