Board of Education extends contract for Superintendent

Facing a quickly approaching deadline of December 31, The Oshkosh Board of Education extended Superintendent Stan Mack’s contract through the end of June 2018.  The move provides more time for candidate assessment by the board and Ray & Associates, the search firm hired by the board to conduct the national search.

The board selected Ray & Associates based partially on the group’s proposal to include the board in all steps of the process and to enable board members to actively review job candidate profiles.  The extended time is expected to expand the size of the candidate pool, allow for additional time to meet with and assess candidates, and to assist with a smooth transition of leadership.

This move is not expected to impact the district budget.

Mack has served as Superintendent of Oshkosh Schools since 2012.
