Patrons of Manila Resto will get a treat on both Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, feb 24, 2018, as Auralai will be filling the dining hall with beautiful music to kick off Water City Racket Fest 2018.

The sets from Auralai begin at 6pm both nights, and will feature Stephanie Tschech performing solo with her cello. Originally a classically trained cellist, Stephanie has evolved into an accomplished indie singer-songwriter using her cello as a multi-instrument with a combination of plucking, strumming, and bowing. In 2016, Auralai performed at the Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, WI with Grammy-award winning artist Steve Earle.

Auralai’s sets will be the only Racket Fest live music to be played in Manila Resto, with all other bands performing upstairs in the Algoma Club. Music begins upstairs at 7:30pm. Guests do not need a ticket to enter Manila Resto for Auralai. Tickets are required for entry to the Algoma Club, with the $6.00 ticket cost granting you access to both nights of music. Racket Fest ticket holders will also receive $1 off food purchases at Manila Resto for the weekend.

Water City Racket Fest will take place in downtown Oshkosh at 103 Algoma Blvd. on Friday and Saturday, February 23 and 24, 2018. The event will feature all original music from Wisconsin bands. Tickets for the full event are just $6.00. More information is available at www.oshkoshindependent.com/racket.

Water City Racket Fest is being promoted by The Oshkosh Independent. The Fifth Ward Brewing Company is the Festival Sponsor, and will have their craft beers available throughout the event.

Auralai is sponsored by Klassy Kids Consignment Shoppe. Klassy Kids carries gently used clothes, toys, and gear for infant to young adult. Visit them Downtown Oshkosh at 459 N. Main Street, where the Klassy Kids shop!

Two great ways to get a listen to the Auralai:

First, tune into Oshkosh’s fabulous 101.9fm radio — local community-based radio covering important local stuff, from council meetings to local rock n roll. Racket Fest radio will be airing Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 p.m. The show is hosted by Oshkosh radio legend Anthony Montalvo (another UW grad), and features nearly 25 minutes of straight music paired with a small dose of band info. Auaralai’s show will begin airing the week of November 13, 2017.

Second, take a look at Auaralai’s “So Heavy” music video, shot by Clearview Productions:

Oshkosh’s Fifth Ward Brewing Co: Oshkosh’s newest craft brewery, located at 1009 South Main Street in Oshkosh’s south side, the Fifth Ward Brewing’s goal is to explore the boundaries of style and tradition, as an expression of they we are, where they’re from, their past experience, and their vision for the future. But mostly, they want to bring you the best possible beer.

Klassy Kids Consignment Shoppe: Klassy Kids is a family owned, gently used, clothing store. We carry boys and girls infant clothing up to Young Adult (Misses/Juniors). Thank you for shopping consignment, you are supporting MANY LOCAL families in our community!

Auralai joins the Haunted Heads, Redshift Headlights, RedHawks, and ASUMAYA as the announced bands for Racket Fest 2018.
