Artisan Spring Sale at the Oshkosh Seniors Center set for May 11

There’s talent among the 4,000 participants of the Oshkosh Seniors Center.

The Wisconsin Warmers and the OSC Woodshop will be holding a sale of their handcrafted items, such as quilts and wood pieces, on Thursday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Oshkosh Seniors Center’s North Building, located at 234 N. Campbell Road in Oshkosh.

The Center is home to the Wisconsin Warmers, an active group of 30 volunteers, who lovingly produce quilts, afghans, Christmas stockings, hats, mittens and scarves as gifts of “warmth” to those in need the Oshkosh area. In 2016, the Wisconsin Warmers donated over 1,500 items to local groups including Mercy Medical Center, Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, and the Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services. The May 11 th sale will feature quilts, lap throws, neck warmers, table runners, and more.

The OSC Woodshop is a well-equipped wood working center offering classes and shop hours for both novice and more advanced craftsmen, and gives users the opportunity to carve wood, make jewelry, build birdhouses and much more. The woodshop will be selling cutting boards, jewelry, trays, decorative boxes and many other unique items.

We hope to see the community here for the Artisan Spring Sale, the proceeds will help offset expenses related to the Wisconsin Warmers and OSC Woodshop. The Oshkosh Seniors Center accepts cash or checks for payment.
