A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols: Oshkosh Chamber Singers concert Saturday, December 15


The Oshkosh Chamber Singers will present “A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” on Saturday, December 15, 2018. An Oshkosh holiday tradition for more than 25 years, the singers will be accompanied by pipe organ, brass, and cello, and will join with community readers to offer Scripture readings of the Christmas story and sing related choral selections.

The program includes favorites such as Christ is My Morning Star and Rocking Carol  by John Rutter, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day by Willcox, The Shepherd’s Carol by Chilcott, There is No Rose by Benjamin Britten, and His Light in Us by Kim André Arnesen.

There are two performances: 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the historic Trinity Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Algoma and Division, Oshkosh (map and driving directions).

Conducted by music director Herb Berendsen, the singers will be accompanied by guest organist Jared Stellmacher on Trinity Episcopal Church’s’ magnificent pipe organ.

Tickets are available in advance for $15 at Heid Music, 1750 W. South Park Ave., Oshkosh; Gardina’s Wine Bar & Café, 448 N. Main St., Oshkosh; or by calling Kelly at 920-312-8290. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20. Student tickets are $5.
