The Oshkosh West High School Drama Club recently received All-State Honors, as well as an Outstanding Ensemble Award and three Outstanding Lead Actor Awards at the 2018 Wisconsin High School Theatre Festival, held at Viterbo University November 15-17.

Katherine Matzke, Michael Williams, and Grant Horton each were honored with Outstanding Lead Actor Awards.

Additionally, Oshkosh West’s performance of The Crucible was a highlight of the competition and the only performance of the day to attract a full house, with a waiting line extending into the lobby area. Those in attendance described the experience as “amazing” and the “best performance yet!”

About the Festival: More than 1,500 high school students gather each year at the Wisconsin High School Theatre Festival – held since 1930 – for three days packed with workshops featuring trained professionals, one-act and individual event contest performances, showcase productions, and more.
